The Council performs all the functions assigned to it by the Board and assists the Director in carrying out his/her duties, including:  

a) managing relations between research laboratories and between these and technical services; supervising the use of shared services, spaces, equipment, and resources for research activities;

b) managing relations with other University structures and with public or private bodies with which the Department shares research projects;  

c) managing relations with schools and with bodies and structures involved in teaching, training, and science communication.

The Council is composed of the following members:

• prof. Giovanni Andrea Prodi

Typically, the Council meets twice a month, usually on Monday.

The Director may invite the coordinators of the Doctoral Programs to the Board meetings for the discussion of topics concerning the functioning of the Programs themselves.
